Today’s creation features Teeling Small Batch, the flagship of our Teeling Trinity. This blend is finished in Central American rum casks for 6 months, lending a dried fruit and demerara sugar profile to bolster the classic vanilla influence.
The Dublin Minstrel
What you’ll need:
- 30ml Teeling Small Batch
- 20ml Luxardo Maraschino Liqueur
- 20ml Green Chartreuse
- 20ml Fresh Lime Juice
- Add all ingredients to cocktail shaker with ice and shake vigorously for 10-12 seconds
- Fine strain into a chilled coupette or small Martini glass
- Garnish with fresh cucumber or a sprig of fresh earthy herb (thyme or rosemary)
The Dublin Minstrel is named after Frank Fogarty, the famous 20th century vaudeville performer. The drink itself is a riff on a creation of Frank’s known as the Last Word, which was originally a gin based cocktail. Despite only being a cocktail hobbyist, Frank’s creation found its way into the some of the most well respected cocktail books of its day in 1950’s New York.
