Teeling Whiskey: World’s Most Awarded Irish Whiskey

At Teeling Whiskey, since our inauguration as a brand over a decade ago, we have quickly become the World’s Most Awarded Irish Whiskey with over 500 international accolades including World’s Best Single Malt, Single Grain and Single Pot Still, leading the next generation of Irish Whiskey Producers, as Irish Whiskey progresses as the fastest growing spirits category in the world.

Teeling Whiskey has gone from strength to strength over the last decade, excelling on a global whiskey stage, taking home prizes at the likes of the World Whiskey Awards, the Irish Whiskey Masters, the IWSC’s, San Francisco Spirits Competition and many more! Mostly recently, we were awarded with 13 top accolades at the Irish Whiskey Masters across multiple categories and a prestigious Double Gold for our flagship the Teeling Small Batch at both the Singapore and San Francisco Spirits Competitions.

Our Irish Whiskeys embody a truly unique unconventional spirit with innovation at the core of everything we do. From barley to barrels we look to push the boundaries of all stages of the whiskey making process in order to challenge conventions and perceptions around the Irish Whiskey Category, whilst still retaining the approachability of the traditional Irish Whiskey style. After careful attention to detail in production we bottle our Irish whiskey at our signature 46% ABV with no chill filtration for that full flavour elevated experience.

Dublin Reborn: World’s Best Single Pot Still 2022!

Since the opening of Teeling Whiskey Distillery in 2015, based in the heart of Dublin City in Newmarket Square, the Liberties, we have strived in our mission to bring Irish Single Pot Still Whiskey back to Dublin, producing the first Single Pot Still Whiskey in nearly 50 years. This allowed us to revive the long standing tradition of urban distillation in Ireland’s capital. Taking a modern approach to this revered and previously world-renowned category of Irish Whiskey, we crafted our Teeling Single Pot Still with 50% malted barley and 50% unmalted barley. Beginning an in depth exploration of various wood styles for the maturing of our Single Pot Still, gave birth to our limited and highly sought after Wonders of Wood Series.

The Teeling Whiskey Wonders of Wood Series took the world by storm, with the Teeling Wonders of Wood 1 (Chinquapin Oak) being honoured with the award of “World’s best Single Pot Still” at the World Whiskey Awards” in 2022.

Reviving Urban distilling with a Modern Twist!

Our Teeling Wonders of Wood 1 is crafted from a recipe of 50% malted barley and 50% unmalted barley, which has been triple distilled in our Dublin Distillery, fermented with a combination of white wine and distillers yeast and fully matured in Virgin Chinkapin American White Oak Casks. This limited release is bottled at 50% abv with no chill filtration.

Making History: World’s Best Single Malt 2019!

Of course, our innovation and dedication to bringing the World Best Irish Whiskeys is not just limited to Single Pot Still. In 2019 Teeling Whiskey made history with our Teeling 24-Year-Old Single Malt, as it was the first time an Irish Whiskey was named as the “World’s Best Single Malt”. This rare and vintage Irish Whiskey is made from 100% malted barley, matured for 21 years in ex-Bourbon barrels, before it was aged further for an additional three years in ex-Sauternes Wine Casks, and bottled at 46% abv with no chill filtration.

The Gold Standard of Irish Whiskey!

Single Malt is considered “The Gold Standard” of World Whiskey due to its production process, as well as its character and flavour profile. This award brought a spotlight to the Irish Whiskey Category, challenging what makes a World Class Whiskey with Single Malt often being synonymous with Scottish producers, and more recently Japanese and other new age whiskey producing regions.

Triple Threat: World’s Best Single Grain 2014!

From our broad range of Irish Whiskeys at Teeling we now have a highly decorated portfolio of award-winning Irish products to please all tastes and curiosities. One that stands out among our core releases in our Unconventional Collection is multi-award winning Teeling Single Grain. Awarded the “World’s Best Single Grain” in 2014 at the World Whiskey Awards, this  Single Grain Irish Whiskey is made up of 95% corn and 5% malted barley, aged in Californian Red Wine casks and bottled at 46% with no chill filtration. It no doubt underscores Teeling Whiskey’s commitment to pushing the boundaries of traditional whiskey-making, solidifying its reputation as a trailblazer in the world of premium spirits.
